USI assigns degrees in Economics to 58 graduates

58 students hailing from 9 different countries received their Bachelor (12), Master (44), and Master of Advanced Studies (2) degree in Economics during a ceremony held on Tuesday, April 24 in the Lugano campus aula magna. 

USI Rector, Boas Erez, opened the ceremony followed by the Dean of the Faculty, Patrick Gagliardini. During the ceremony, two USI Alumni took the stage to share their experience in the working world: Simone Balestra, 2009 USI Bachelor graduate and currently postdoc assistant at University of St. Gallen; and Chiara Del Grosso who graduated from USI in 2000 and is currently Head of Retail Banking & Customer Service Center at EFG Bank, Lugano. Simona Bolis also spoke to the graduates about the services offered by the USI Alumni Service, and Prof. Francesco Franzoni, director of USI Institute of Finance, talked about the programme offered with the Swiss Finance Institute (SFI) for the Master in Finance, which was conferred this year to 6 graduates.
