GenT | Tourism Generation

Connecting the next generation of tourism professionals

GenT | NEWS

We are excited to present the poster of GenT – Generazione Turismo, the result of ideas from the students who participated in the first edition of the event, and brought to life by Ticino-based illustrator Mavie Steffanina.

The poster captures the main insights that emerged from the group work sessions during the event, where students were invited to reflect on the future professions in the tourism sector. The content was brought to life through live drawing directly in front of the participants, allowing them to see their ideas turned into images in real time. The illustration was then carefully revised and refined.

The poster showcases a variety of professions that, according to the students, will be essential for the future of the tourism industry, outlining the responsibilities and skills required for each role.

You can download the full poster here.

This initiative is born from the collaboration between three key educational institutions in Ticino: USI, SUPSI e SSSAT.

This event is a unique opportunity for students to connect, share ideas, and find inspiration. Its aim is to foster open and meaningful dialogue between the new generation of tourism professionals, academic institutions, and local stakeholders.

Through moments of shared reflection, professional insights, and interactive discussions, GenT offers concrete perspectives for addressing the sector’s challenges, highlighting the value of skills development, innovation, and strong collaboration between education and the professional world.
