The Observatory provides scientific support to the Cantonal authorities in the field of public finance, with a focus on the economic consequences and the long-term sustainability of reforms of the tax and fiscal systems.
Yearly report on the state of public finance in Ticino
The report consists in an analysis of the information of public finance made available by the Confederation and the individual Cantons. The analysis focuses on financial flows across cantons and between the Cantons and the Confederation.A special attention is paid to the consolidation operations carried out by the different cantons and on specific sectorial dynamics.
