Secondary homes in the region of Lake Maggiore and Valleys
In 2014 tourism Observatory conducted a survey with the purpose to analyze the profile, habits and behavior of secondary homes’ owners in the region of Lago Maggiore and Valli. Being initiated by the tourism boards of Lago Maggiore, Gambarogno, Tenero and Valle Verzasca, and Vallemaggia, the study explored the reasons for buying a dwelling in the region, the main activities undertaken by the owners during their visits, their integration in the social context and point of view on the necessary interventions for improving their stay.
