Demand and supply in the hotel sector
Monitoring of tourism demand and supply in Ticino is directed mainly towards analysis of data collected by official statistical bodies for the hospitality sector. In particular, the points of major interest are:
- Demand: Arrivals and overnight stays in Ticino on a monthly basis.
- Supply: Accommodation and hotel beds in Ticino on a seasonal basis.
The monitoring of the demand and supply is conducted aggregately for all the canton, as well as separately for four macro regions of Ticino - Bellinzona and Alto Ticino, Lake of Lugano, Lake Maggiore and Valli and Mendrisiotto respectively.
